College can get sold as “the best four years of your life”.

For a lot of undergrads, it can also be some of the most stressful and disorienting years as well.

For Our Undergrads…

The undergraduate research our team has conduced shows that today’s undergrads are carrying a lot: the pressure to have a four-year plan before you’ve even picked a major, the exhaustion of working a job (or multiple) just to afford being a student, the loneliness of searching for “your people” in college, and the constant hum of a world that feels too heavy to keep up with.

But none of that means something is wrong with you – it’s just a sign of what it actually feels like to be a young person right now. At CTYA, we help undergraduates work through it: burnout, money worries, belonging, mental load, and the big transitions ahead.

Below are some of the things we hear most from students like you. Read more about what informs our approach.

The relationship between the therapist and the client is the conduit for growth.

We lean into that instead of away from it. Nowadays, you can find advice from social media, reading, or AI. By incorporating a relational element, we help you gain insight about who you are and how you experience the world.
