We Built This For You.
Actually You.
The Center for Thriving Young Adults exists for one reason: to make real mental health support accessible to young adults navigating the very specific kind of chaos that is college and grad school right now.
We know your life doesn't fit neatly into a 50-minute session. the academic spiral, the identity stuff, the relationship drama, the pressure to have a plan, the weird loneliness you can feel even when you're surrounded by people — all of it is valid, and all of it matters here.
Therapy that’s real.
Care that fits your life.
Our clinicians specialize in students and emerging adults. That means we're not going to talk to you like a textbook. We work around your schedule, take your goals seriously, and actually understand the world you're operating in — whether you're trying to survive thesis season, figure out your relationships, or just understand who you are when you're not performing for everyone else.
Being young right now is genuinely hard. We take that seriously.
We didn't end up working with Gen Z by accident. We chose this generation on purpose — because we believe you deserve clinicians who actually understand what it means to be young right now. Not just in theory, but in practice.

You grew up during a pandemic. A racial justice reckoning. a climate crisis. An economy where the traditional markers of "making it" — stability, a clear path, upward mobility — have started to feel like a myth. You're carrying student debt into a job market that keeps moving the goalposts. And you're doing all of that while living in a digital world that is always on, always watching, and constantly inviting you to compare yourself to everyone else.
This isn't a "just work harder" situation. what you're navigating is genuinely hard, and you deserve support that actually acknowledges that.

Social media was supposed to make connection easier. For a lot of people it made it worse — a highlight reel of everyone else seemingly thriving while you're just trying to get through the week. Anxiety, self-doubt, the persistent feeling of falling behind — these are some of the most common things our clients bring through the door, and we don't minimize any of it.
And if you lost some of your key social development years to COVID — the dorm friendships, the casual conversations, the organic moments of just belonging somewhere — you're not alone in still feeling the effects of that. a lot of people are still catching up.
-
High-achieving students, perfectionists, people who've tied their worth to their output since middle school — we know you. academic pressure and imposter syndrome don't disappear when you close your laptop. They live in your phone, your inbox, your GPA portal, your group chat. For a generation that was told hard work would lead somewhere concrete, the uncertainty of what "success" even looks like right now can feel really destabilizing.
-
The questions Gen Z is asking about creativity, purpose, and what it means to add value in a world being reshaped by AI — those are real, and worth taking seriously in therapy. we don't dismiss them. We help you build the self-knowledge and clarity to navigate an uncertain future with actual confidence, not just coping.
-
Figuring out who you are has always been part of being young — but now it happens in public, under pressure, with an algorithm amplifying every moment of doubt. Questions about values, relationships, neurodiversity, gender identity, cultural belonging, and what success actually means to you are at the center of a lot of the work we do.
Our approach blends CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based interventions, and relational therapy — always grounded in a genuine understanding of the world you actually live in.

As a psychologist at Harvard and academic dean at Brown, and as a writer in the Harvard Business Review, Washington Post, and Fast Company on Gen Z and mental health — she brings that experience directly into the therapy room.
And the core belief underneath all of it: with the right support, Gen Z can genuinely thrive. we're rooting for you. We built this place for you.
